Gasenshi

Gasenhi’s or paper for calligraphy are made with various kinds of fibers, especially bamboo, but also mitsumata, gampi, kozo, rice straw, wood pulp and kaya. The name has Chinese roots and means paper for calligraphy.
Gasenshi produced in Tottori prefecture are called inshu, from Ehime prefecture, Iyo and those from Yamanashi prefecture, Koushuu.
