Sugiharagami

Sugiharagami or Sugiharashi is named after the locality Sugihara (Hyogo Prefecture). It is manufactured since the end of the Heian period (794-1185). It is the symbol of medieval paper. It was used for offerings during ceremonies. It was very popular during the Edo period (1603-1868).
